I did not get a second opinion. I was very ill when I was admitted to hospital back in September, 2008 with a yet to be diagnosed cancer. I had the privilege of having the benefit of many oncologists and other specialities on staff at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre in Calgary attempting to diagnose my cancer over my two week stay in hospital at that time. I don't think I could have had any better of a diagnosis and care than what I received and still do to this day. The TBCC is one of the leading cancer centres in Canada and, in fact ,the world. I feel truly blessed to live in a city where their cancer programs are so highly thought of and so easily accessible to those of us who need them.

That is awesome...I went to the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton, and I also was treated like gold. I think we are very fortunate to live in a province that has such world renouned institutes...and I thank God everyday that we do...I was diagnosed with stage 4 grades 1,2 and 3 follicular lymphoma in Jan 2011...and I am in remission now for 1 yr...I am truly blessed
