I'd advise getting a positive diagnosis first, to be certain the symptoms are not caused by something else. Then try holistic approach. Then medication if that doesn't work

Direct them to Claire Weeks or the Dare Program or the Anxiety Guy websites so they can learn that anxiety is treatable, what it is and how to recover. The earlier the better for them.

If you have any relatives/friends/trusted acquaintances familiar with anxiety or that you just are able to talk to, mention what you’re going through. Sometimes just talking/venting about it and getting some other insight can help with alleviating anxious feelings/elevating mood, some other outlet for the anxiety. But everyone is different! Sometimes I do not like to talk about my anxiety, so I channel it through writing/poetry/art/music.

I would first recommend a doctor/therapist. If you are already receiving professional care and know it is an anxiety disorder or panic disorder, then I would try different methods to ground yourself during those anxious moments. My comment is more for a panic attack, and something that helps me is to ask myself if I am in any immediate danger. Most of the time, the answer is no. I remind myself that this is how the body responds when it thinks it is in danger, and the episode doesn't last forever. I ground myself through self-talk by telling myself that the feelings will go away shortly. Sometimes I even pull up the page where I read that information, the anxietycentre, and reading it makes me feel better. I hope this helps!
