How do you deal with anxiety on a daily level?

I take medication to try to deal with it and I hide in fear that people will discover my anxiety and judge me by the antiquated standards of the society in which I live. So in effect it's not really dealing with it at all and this too exasperates my level of anxiety.

I found that medication has given me the window of opportunity to deal with things myself. I now use breathing and mindfulness techniques.

My wonderful partner is worth living for and helps scrape me from the ceiling-if I've had a completely bad day 😊

I also keep anxiety diaries.

Hi SoLost - I do find it helps in that I can look back on previous setbacks/bad spells and see that I survived them, that it wasn't the end of the world like anxiety can make us believe. I don't buy proper diaries with ready printed dates, I get those little red memo books from the post office, listing my daily activities and recording how I felt. Give it a try, you've nothing to lose? :-)
