I'm only three months post transplant and there are still an awful lot of foods that I used to enjoy that I no longer like the smell of or face eating. It's horrible isn't it, I guess we just have to wait and see if it all improves.

This is a tough journey, wishing you well

Jackie

Hi Jackie. Yes I totally feel your annoyance with food. Mine goes through stages where I buy loads of stuff which tastes nice but then next week it will taste awful and I am back to eating bland. It will get better over time. At 3 months I didn't eat much so it has improved a lot over time.Wishing you all the best.

I totally agree with you, it's impossible to know what to plan to eat because there is no way of knowing what will be palatable.

My eating/diet is so poor that I'm now folate deficient and it's holding back my Hb recovery. Sometimes I only eat a couple of eggs and a teacake in a day :(

That sounds dreadful for you Jm954! I feel bad for moaning as I do have 3 meals a day but always only certain things and it can change daily. I am sure things will get better for you. The eggs are certainly wholesome and nutritious but not a big fan myself. Just try tiny nibbles at things if you can. I remember going through a phase where I ate noodles every day in some form or other. Even added them to soup. Take care.
