Who can answer this questionnaire: Adults diagnosed with a blood cancer, those caring for an adult diagnosed with a blood cancer and health or social care professionals or volunteers working with someone diagnosed with a blood cancer

About this research & NCRI: ncri.org.uk/jla/

The National Cancer Research Institution (NCRNI) are an independent academic research group who's purpose is to improve health and quality of life by accelerating progress in cancer-related research, through collaboration

This research will help shape and prioritise cancer related research outside of treatment development. . Blood cancer patients carers and care teams often experience challenges and have needs and priorities that differ from the more common solid tumour cancers. We require as many blood cancer patients as possible to share their views of what is most important to them or those who care for them. Please help us ensure the community's views are represented and make your selection. Participation is anonymous. •Complete the survey here: research.net/r/CancerQuesti...

'A lot of research is looking for new cancer treatments, but there’s not enough research relevant to living with and beyond cancer. Research is only effective when we know what questions we want answered. There are so many possible areas to research that we need a way to decide which is the most important. Researchers are good at answering research questions, but it is the people affected directly by cancer who know which questions need answering.

NCRI is bringing researchers and research funders together to collaborate and find ways to answer research questions that should help people live better with, and beyond, cancer.

The first stage of this project is a Priority Setting Partnership. A Priority Setting Partnership brings together patients, carers, and health and social care professionals to work out what are the most important questions for researchers to answer.

This page explains the process in more detail ncri.org.uk/jla/progress-an... and you can find out more about the Priority Setting Partnership here.

We have analysed the questions submitted by everyone in our first survey, and have a list of fifty-four questions for you to consider.

We would like you to pick up to ten questions out of this list that you think are the most important for research to address. In the second part of the survey, we will ask you to rank the questions you have selected from the most important to less important.

We need your help and experience to tell us which questions are the most important and should be tackled by research. You do not need to have participated in the first survey to complete this one.

Done, it's a really straightforward questionnaire, and doesn't take the thirty minutes they suggest it will.
