Welcome to our community for kidney cancer patients! By way of background, after losing my husband to kidney cancer five years ago, I decided to launch an advocacy organization to help others dealing with kidney cancer. KCCure is dedicated to raising money for research, but we're also an organization dedicated to building community support and raising awareness. Hello. Last month I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. I am very fortunate really as it wasn't being looked for and I had no idea I had cancer. I am having my right kidney taken out next month and wondered if anyone could give me any advice or information on what I can expect or what I can do to help myself get back to normality.

I also belong to the HU thyroid section and they have been very supportive and helpful.
