Regardless of the cause of chronic liver disease, fibrosis is the liver's natural wound healing response. If the injury is removed or treated, fibrosis and cirrhosis are reversible.

Cirrhosis can ultimately because irreversible but that point of no return is not entirely clear. Therefore, the goal is to "Treat the underlying disease and monitor for fibrosis progression or regression.

I read on website that u can live healthily with liver damage as long as u look after yourself and don't have hep c active in your blood. Many people live ripe old ages with a good diet and lifestyle. scars on my skin healed because I treated them so I cannot see why the scars on liver cannot be improved aswell.
