I had a liver transplant on Feb 5, 2004. I was extremely lucky in that I had a perfect match (blood type ABNeg). I am still living with the Help C I contracted from a blood transfusion after the birth of my 2nd son. Back then they tested for HIV but not Hep C. I am currently on disability and have been for several years though I worked part-time for a long time but not at this time. I would be be happy to help anyone who has questions that I can answer about pre or post transplant.
