When I came out of hospital I was suffering the fast heart rate (palps) and now its eptopics I get fast heart rate just slightest little movement i.e turning over in bed, going upstairs. Also shortness of breath! I have had my hemoglobin checked and its 12.5 which I believe is good right? Also on propranolol. These have coursed me too have sevear health anxiety and they are driving me insane. I cannot stop thinking these are gunna harm me. I have had ecgs and blood work done all came back good! I dunno what too do any more

Well Ava if all your bloods came back good that’s a really good start. I’m so sorry to hear about your recent loss ,I’m sure that this has played a very big part in your problems. Go back and have a good long chat with your doctor and tell them EVERYTHING. that concerns you. If the tablets aren’t helping ,tell the doctor. I hope you get sorted soon ,but most of it sounds like anxiety.

First of all sorry for your loss. Youve been through a traumatic event so it could well be you are suffering from severe anxiety. Anxiety many times has a lot to do with these heart related symptoms but still you would do well to have yourself checked by a cardiologist who may suggest different tests to rule out any heart related issues. Beyond ECGs and blood tests he or she may recommend having an echocardiogram a stress test and maybe a cardiac scan of some sort. I had a Cardiac CT scan cos I suffer from anxiety and I wouldnt be able to undergo an MRI scan. Ectopics and anxiety are a vicious circle with one feeding of the other making symptoms worse and creating constant worry. I am still struggling almost daily despite all of my results coming back good and reassurance from a few cardiologists. No matter what positive words anyone says when it hits you it hits you but hey you are not alone as you will gather in this forum. Wishing you well.

Will pray for you and dont worry ( easier said than done ) you are not alone. Take heart there are hundreds of people in this forum who have been experiencing similar symptoms for ages and they are still here. Drinking Linden tea will help you calm down and speak to your GP whilst you wait to see the cardiologist maybe taking beta blockers could help.

I’ve got Brugada Syndrome and have an ICD which was implanted 13 yrs ago. I’ve suffered from ectopic beats for years and they can be worrying . However, my cardiologist /electrophysiologist assures me they are harmless. Most people get them even without heart related problems ,but they go unnoticed. Stress ,certain foods, exertion , just about anything can cause them. Alcohol seems to start them off! Some postural positions affect mine. The lists endless . Try relaxation techniques when they start to distract you. Sometimes a very cold drink of water with ice works for me. Just relax through them ,they WONT kill you.

Hey, I really feel for you and what I would say to you is don’t get lost in your own heart beat. I have a heart condition and an ICD but I am plagued with ectopics. The doctors are not concerned about them and that’s knowing there is a heart problem so I now switch off from tuning in to them. Many people are totally unaware of their own heartbeat. I was always jealous of that as I can feel every beat. You need to tune out and use simple things to do that, like colouring (yes it works) and like others have said, breathing techniques. It’s not easy, but whenever you start to get engulfed in the anxiety of it, change your direction and do something that takes you away from it. You will get there and they may disappear once you get to grips with the anxiety. If you still can’t deal with them then do ask for further testing. At least it will put your mind at rest that these are benign and won’t hurt you. All the best.

This is such a good reply. I have recently been experiencing PVCs and it is frightening. A Holter Monitor, treadmill stress test and echocardiogram revealed nothing but the doctor was very flippant about this so I am hoping he was careful when checking results. My home meter tells me that I have frequent PVCs and, in the last weeks, they seem worse. I have no symptoms other than small twitter feelings in my chest. I have tried improving my diet, taking magnesium, cutting out caffeine and getting more sleep. Nothing helps. The anxiety is very difficult so I have problems concentrating on my hobbies. Yes, I do coloring, also. I hope to get back to it. Thank you for your encouraging post.

It is antidepressant paroxitine. I am from Slovenija and here it is called Paroxat. I take now 20mg daily. I started to take it in May last year - first 3 weeks only 10 mg. First 3 weeks was no good. I lost apetite and I lost 5 kg, I had a lot of Pvc. After 3 weeks I suddenly felt perfect - relaxed. no Pvc and apetite came back. I still take betablocker to lower the pulse which is OK now.
