Would hormone imbalance cause overwhelming and a form of depression ?

Hi Mia898

Yes, hormone swings can cause all sorts of mood changes. Not sure how old you are, but it could be an extreme form of PMT (called PMDD) or perimenopause.

Look up Vicious Cycle, a really helpful support group.

Yea hormone imbalance can be a nightmare. Talk to your doctor preferably a OBGYN. Tell them you want a extensive check of hormones. They may refer you to a endocrinologist a doctor that specializes in hormones . Im in the process of getting test done also. Ive always been emotional since my teens and recently was suggested to get test done. Im almost 36 but my mother hit menopause at 40. Still you should look into good luck.
