Recent surveys estimate that some 30% of teens report overwhelming feelings of stress. Unfortunately, many parents don’t respond to their teens’ actual needs; instead, parents tend to draw on their own adolescent experiences as an example of how their kids can persevere -- trying to solve the problem -- instead of focusing on helping teens develop their own problem-solving skills.
