Is there anyone in Driffield caring for a partner after a recent brain aneurysm, who would be happy to share their problems

Hi Molly, My name is Joanne (Read my blog LeslieDilks) my husband has looked after me in varying stages, full and part time since my brain haemorrhage until he returned to full time work after about 6 months. I think with all we have read there will be many similarities with a brain aneurysm and a brain haemorrhage. If we can help you in any way we are happy to do so. We live in Doncaster which is not to many miles away from Driffield.

Hi Joanne. Thank you so much for replying to my question. Since coming on to the Headway site, I have found one or two very interesting and encouraging items, which I have read out to my husband. The one that was especially good was the Letter from my brain. It is put in such a clever way, and certainly brings home to both of us, just how much work we need to put in for the coming months to make the very best of what life has now for my husband.

We are on our 3rd weekend at home this weekend, and it is miles better than the first, so we know things are slowly getting back to some kind of normality.

Discharge may be next weekend, and we are getting things in place in preparation for this, with the help of Castle Hill Hospital in Hull where Steve has been since early December. He was in Hull Royal Infirmary up until that date after his Aneurysm in October.

Which hospital were you in? Were you in for a long time?

Not what you're looking for?
