Has anyone used a Lion’s Mane supplement to aid cognition and memory. If so, what are your experiences?

I used it for a few weeks (mixed into my morning coffee), hoping that it was going to improve my cognition a bit, but it actually made my headaches worse so i stopped taking it.

Hi ftt1960

I haven't tried it yet and it is on my list when I have a few other supplements worked into my routine.

A friend of mine from the local brain injury society has taken it every day for several months, and has gone from needing canes and only being able to walk a little, to ditching the canes and working up to 2 hour walks. That's impressive. She swears by it.

From my research I can tell you not all mushroom supplements are the same. I don't know if I am allowed to say which brand I use, or if it is available in the UK (I am in Canada). I use one where I can buy the powder, it isn't in capsules, because it's much cheaper that way. (She uses one in capsules from her naturopath and it is very expensive, not sure of the brand.)

It's certainly worth a try.

If anyone wants to DM me and ask which one I have checked out, I am happy to tell you.

i agree that mot all supplements are equal but I’m giving Lion’s Mane a try. The one I read about is made in the US bit is available in the UK. I did share a YouTube video about it but didn’t think about the advertising aspect, soit was deleted. The information was really good. The power of humble mushrooms.
