It's Action for Brain Injury Week, and we've launched our 'Brain Drain: Wake up to fatigue!' campaign to raise awareness of this common and often misunderstood effect of brain injury.

Brain injury study finds chronic fatigue widely misunderstood

We were overwhelmed with responses to our survey into fatigue after brain injury, and want to thank everyone who took part!

The results show that 90% of brain injury survivors' lives are negatively affected by ‘pathological fatigue’, with 80% saying their lives would be improved if people had a better understanding.

Our new video highlights the effects of brain injury-related fatigue, and is intended to help you explain fatigue to your friends, family and others who may misunderstand how it affects you.

Keep up-to-date!

We'll be posting more about the campaign throughout the week, so keep an eye on our social media and website to find out more!

I used to suffer with fatigue fairly easily but not so much now.

NOT SO MUCH.

I don’t trust modern medicine/doctors and have done some of my own research and found that frankincense essential oil has helped me with fatigue.

I am an artist and after a few hours of drawing my head USED to feel thick like it was full of cement and my eyes were heavy and I would feel tired.

After a few weeks of inhaling frankincense fatigue was not so much of a problem for me :).

Also I think diet plays a major role in reflecting your health.

“Eat good, healthy food and you’ll have a good healthy body.”

I shop at Holland & Barrett quite a lot and according to a pack of Moringa powder from Aduna they sell, Moring lowers fatigue.

Reading an article recently about vitamin B12, this vitamin is important for all cells of the body and may help lower fatigue.

A little vitamin B12 can be found in Moringa leaves/powder.

So true why can't people understand this? After trying to help a builder I was so tired I slept from 6pm all night next day and even the night after. I missed two appointments with headway but just could not say to the builder I can't do it.
