Does anyone else have random songs pop into their ... - Headway
Does anyone else have random songs pop into their head that uplifts their drowsy mood for no reason? so far Ive had 3 pop into my head.
It's often the case that I wake up with one or two songs playing in my mind for no particular reason i.e. it's not as though I like them, and it's usually music that I've listened to the day before or during the week. I find it very distracting though, sometimes a song plays over repeatedly and at random throughout the day. The only thing that can stop it is to focus my attention on something else e.g. listen to something, watch tv, etc. It's as if the nerves are just firing at random, a sort of acoustic epilepsy perhaps.
NEARLY EVERY MORNING I WAKEUP WITH A RANDOM SONG IN MY HEAD. TODAY IT WAS THE ISRAELI NATIONAL ANTHEM I HEARD IT YESTERDAY WHILST WATCHING A PROGRAMME ABOUT THE WAR. THINKING ABOUT IT THERE SEEM TO BE A LOT OF NATIONAL ANTHEMS. OTHERS RECENTLY ARE SOUTH AFRICAN (A LOT OF MY FAMILY ARE FROM SA) NEW ZEALAND & AUSTRALIA. MUST BE FROM CRICKET I SUPPOSE.OTHERWISE WHY?? I AM ENGLISH. BIZARRE
In this weather it's usually the Spitting Image Chicken Song 
Sometimes a song that I've forgotten about for years will pop into my head and then the next day they will play it on the radio. Definitely not psychic though, I always assume it has been played and I was wasn't paying attention.
The subconscious seems to have a habit of picking things up like that and throwing them back at odd times, in my case as dreams. There's some truth in what our parents always said - "don't watch that, you'll have nightmares!".

Yes i have that usually old songs or maybe like jingles from old adverts or something- like 'fly like a bird in the sky' the old nimble bread song -takes a while for them to gi out my head but do make me happy 
Sometimes I get songs pop into my head or maybe if I hear a song I have not heard for ages and I forgot all about it, I like that.
What I don't like is songs that get into your head that you hate. Like "Heeeey, hey baby. I wanna know. Will you be my girl", not keen on that one. Songs like these you cannot remove, well I can't.
