Hi...Does hypoxic brain damage show up on CT/MRI or EEG scans at all? anyone know?…

Only if it has caused the cells to die from lack of oxygen-it would appear darker on the ct.

I wish I could answer your question for you. However I have the same question so would appreciate some answers if anyone has them thank you!

It does not. Usually when it comes to hypoxia or anoxia you have to be a vegetable before it shows up on mri/eeg. I would try a pet scan or a neuropsych evaluation. I would also build a close relationship with a neurologist I trust.

Don't spend ur money on ct/mri/eeg. Hypoxia and anoxia unless very severe will not show up on those imaging techniques! You have to either get a pet or neuropsych eval.
