As well as having short term memory loss I've developed long term absence seizures following brain surgery, anyone else experienced this?

Sorry to hear that, what was the surgery for?

I developed epilepsy after my gamma-knife surgery, but I'm told that it was probably due to my stroke rather than that. I have tonic-clonic seizures (pass out, shaking etc.)

I don't pass out as such, I'm loosing hours per day, some absences have reportedly lasted 3 hours or more. They're not accompanied by fitting, merely a catatonic state I don't respond to third parties in. It's just a new one on me. I am concerned as I may loose my driving licence again after a battle of getting it back.

Not what you're looking for?
