I had a benign brain tumor removed almost four years ago and it resulted in some minor changes to my behavior and a few minor disabilities. I do get colours mixed up sometimes and have difficulty reading some coloured text, I was left quite short tempered for a few months after the op but those annoyances are all behind me now :)

The nearest I experienced to what you ask was the optician showing me red and green squares and asking me which was the strongest; the one on the left or the one on the right. Really messed me up and when I repeatedly stated I had no idea he became a little hot under the collar - and most apologetic when I told him why I was having the difficulty.

It wasn't so much the colour as trying to work out left from right. I seem to recall the squares being rotated too; just to add a difficulty!

At my last eye test 2012 there were no red/green squares and the equipment was somewhat different [more modern>?] but I was exposed to a very bright light without warning and which made me feel very sick ....... on the train on the way home 20mins later or so that peaceful aura descended around me and I was out for around 3 mins suffering the first petit mal for years - to the point a fellow commuter asked me if I was ok. I'd dribbled too, which was embarrassing. Avoiding flashing lights now and suffered another in May this year.
