I HAVE FOUND A CLUSTER OF SMALL LUMPS AROUND MY VAGINA ENTRANCE. AROUND MY CLITEROUS IS SWOLLEN, PAINFUL & ITCHY. LOOKING FOR ADVISE PLS

Hi..I am 45yrs old and has my last smear test beginning of last year and it was clear.

I had cramping pains in my pelvic area 2 days ago and thought I would have a period that day or there abouts. Bleeding started during the night but didnt feel like or look like my usual period..

My periods are not regular and havnt been for few years. I put it down to menopause beginning and thought nothing more about it.

Yesterday tea time my vulva became itchy, sore and swollen & has got worse to the point I went to the NHS website for info and that led me here.

After a closer look I have blood coming out my cliterous and a lump inside as I describe in my heading above.

I began a new relationship about 1 yr ago after 3.5years single. .so no intercourse until last year. Sex can be painful at times but not always and I have bled at times too...again putting it down to irregular periods .

Looking for some advice and guidance...

Could be herpes or many more vulval conditions, you need to see your doctor or go to a sexual health clinic

Get professional help as soon as possible - it could be all sorts of things. Your GP should fit in seeing you quickly, but depending where you live and how far away it is, going to a local sexual health clinic might see you sooner. For some places, you need an appointment but other places let you drop in - though might not at present. Look here for details: nhs.uk/live-well/sexual-hea... Even if there's no STI involved, these people will work as a first point of contact if your GP's not super-prompt about fitting you in.
