Hi there,
Thank you for your question.
It’s a diagnosis made after a specimen of the mucous producing part of the cervix is taken and looked at under the microscope.
It shows the cells have changed in the way they normally grow. It’s important because there is a small chance that this change might develop into a cancer .
It’s usually very easy to treat in the outpatient colposcopy clinic.
