Hello everyone I am 31 years old and I have hyperthyroidism. I have had the disease for 6 years now, and it has been a battle. A year ago I started to feel weird, dizzy, heart palpitations, and chest pains. These symptoms cause me to go back and forth to the emergency rooms. The doctors gave me every heart test there was to cross out any heart troubles, but all my tests came back good. Now I am still having these symptoms so my doctor said its anxiety and that having lots of stress. But I want to know if anyone else gets anxiety and have thyroid issues??

Could your thyroids cause you to have anxiety????
I have Hyperthyroidism and suffer anxiety/stress, I started with high blood pressure then ended up with swollen eyes and currently on 40mg carbazole which endo wants to increase to 60mg. I have joined a Magnesium group on FB and find the advice there very helpful, stress apparently depletes Mag in our bodies, when good levels a person is more calm and relaxed. So I am working on that just now as it has helped me with high blood pressure but now I have a challenge with this overactive as body is on full Fear-Fight-Flight all the time!
Yes I was recently diagnosed with Graves. I am 47 years old. I was told by doctor thyroid sent me straight appt with a consultant. I have hyperthyroid. They did blood tests. I was having terrible palpitations, tiredness and so much anxiety. When I explained this he said I need beta blockers but I can't because I'm on steriod inhaler. I am on Carbizole and only been on for about 6 weeks and I can feel the difference. I'm back in July for my second appt. My goiter is my concern and gut as I get sick and my airways feel like they get blocked sometimes due to the goiter. Hope you get sorted. Karen x
