Graves disease

I have just been treated for Graves with Radioiodine and was wondering if anybody else has received the same treatment ...happy to report I am no longer on tablets carbinozola not sure of the spelling and it seems my hair is no longer falling out yaaaay so far so good

I have graves disease also and im on carbimazole. Im waiting to have the gland removed by sugery.

can i ask even though most research says you lose weight with this condition which i did around the time of being diagnosed. I have noticed that i have now gained a lot of weight on. Im always feeling tired, depressed and a bit of hair lose. Brittle nails and abit more. Did this happen to you?

How are u feeling after the treatment or do u still get any symptoms?.

Hi Natalie Hope your op goes well ..so far I am doing good I have not gained much weight which is good feeling less depressed than before in fact a lot happier in myself the tablets I am taking is Levothyroxine 50 mg a day which seems to suit me before I had 75 but went overactive again so was reduced to 50 think the tablets do effect a little hair loss the bonus being I am sleeping a lot better than before I take my tab first thing in the morning and wait half an hour to have breakfast I prefer mornings as I might forget to take them end of the day don't worry it will all work out for you I'm sure you will eventually feel less tired with the right dosage Good Luck x
