Jaw Cysts How often are you seeing these cysts return? My 13 yr old has had 2 removed.
My son has had 2 removed one when he was 12 and this past summer when he was16.
With everything gorlin its so difficult to measure. My siblings and I have such varying out comes. I had jaw cysts when i was 12 and17, one sister had one operation and that was it and my other sister had five operations; in their teens. I dont think you can say when and if they come just try your best to monitor the situation with regular contact with your dentist or paeditrician ... hope that helps.
In my situation I had had,seven jaw cysts removed, each time losing teeth, meaning each time I had to have more teeth added to plates,in the end there there was only a few few left in my mouth, so decided to have the rest pulled out and went to full dentures,it was no hassle. I kept having x-rays to keep a check on them, but since I was 17 have had no cysts. On the other had my sister as had 32+ with the dermatologists and dental surgeons unable to identify the reasons, but I would suspect that the increasing mutations PTCH1 gene to a possible link ?.
Thanks to both for responding. We are very lucky to have such good care thru the Mayo & I've been told as 'Lexington' said that you just don't know when or how often. The unknown is whats hard but I do appreciate knowing how others have done. Thanks 
i had my first cyst removed , they were meant to use a specific substace that clears it completely but didnt hae it when it came to surgery , they warned it may come back, the swelling has not gone dwn but there is no sign of it being there again.
