Hello and welcome madmonkee - 😀
I had a preserflo shunt at beginning of April. I was scared to bits as well, but my GP gave me 9 Valium for 4 days pre op.. it was absolutely fine! It took 1 hour only and lovely theatre nurse held my hand throughout - done under local anaesthetic - post op recovery was minimal - but wisely rested at home and pressure is good. All the best - try not to worry. It really is easy and pain free procedure. 🌺xx
hi you are definately not alone, I'm awaiting preserflo op in Sept and am so nervous they are doing it under a general!!good luck and take care x
The surgery itself is ok...I'm just worried about how good it will actually work and the longevity.
