I am suffering with low blood platelet counts. Presently my platelet count is 25000 Let me know remedies for improvement of Platelet counts

Hi Kadapa,I knowquite biton this subject as mine are low too. But not as low as yours. I've had two botched attemps at DBS (a whole other story) and they discovered the low platelet coant on the 2nd surgery. Mine runs about 75000, which is to low to operate safely on someones head. So the docs sent me to a blood doctor and he told me I had a sligtly enlarged sleen and a slight fatty, non alcoholics liver. So I asked the blood doc, what do we do and he said nothing. He said removing the spleen would cause more trouble than it would fix. He said just get a platelet transfusion every time they are going to operate on my head. I would go to a blood (hematologist) and have them check your spleen and liver as your numbers are quite low. Do you have any trouble with your blood clotting?

Dear Kadapa, Is your Platelet counts still under 25000? If the court is back to normal, have you done anything? My son Platelet counts drops to this level recently, but we don't find any problem yet. The next test would be marrow test. You recommendation is very useful for me. Thanks a lot.
