New book that looks interesting: "Doing Harm"

Hello all,

I saw this article about a new book today, & thought it may be of interest for some of us...

It's about gender bias & other biases in medical professionals, leading to delays in diagnosing, or even misdiagnosing patients...

I haven't read the book, but it seems very well-researched from this article..

I've said this all along- that my misdiagnosis of FND when I had rheumatic fever and chorea, happened because I'm female and have a history of psychiatric conditions. 'Hysteria' which is the old name for conversion disorder, is an old sexist term.
