Hi, I stopped methotrexate injection 3 weeks ago. I decided to give my body a break.I'm in agony. What a twit.
Can I just inject again without tapering up? I have my 20mg auto injection here.
I will ring my pharmacy but thought to ask you guys as well.
I'm in a world of pain today, it's so bad.

Dear Jennifer, my heart goes out to you! A good few years ago I was forced to leave off taking Metho for about seven weeks because of blood results and ended up in a wheelchair and not able to dress myself apart from the horrendous pain. I have imroved functionally since but have never recovered fully from that episode so my advice is to get back on the Metho as soon as you can. I just restarted with my usual dose when the doctors allowed me to, no tapering, so I would think that the same would work for you. My GP said she had never realised what effect stopping the metho would have!
