How old were you when you were first diagnosed with liver disease?
Please select one:
I was 55 years
evidence at 22 yrs old, biopsy confirmed at 27 yrs old
I am the only one so young with no cause. Everything has been ruled out. You name it. This is why and how I know something else is underlying.. I need help getting to good doctors.
Hi Mariah you have been through almost everything, hard to imagine anyone could be so brave. I was wondering what your strategy is about diet. What do you eat if I might ask.
Thanks
Wayne
Whole foods. My fiance is a butcher, but I limit red meat, get plenty of protein, however my diet is mostly vegetables. No added salt. Limited sugar. No bread. and nothing out of a box, bag, or can, etc. Its easy for me though. I like that food.Sweet potato and brussel sprouts are my favorite foods, so are blueberries, oatmeal, corn, chicken breast, turkey breast, hard boiled eggs, love avocado, tomato, bell peppers, mushrooms, everything. I love food!
OK, I'm on that path also. There is one big difference between us though. My hepatologist actually prescribed a heavy daily dose of extra virgin olive oil so that monosaturated fat was my primary energy source. If you are interested here is a link that is foundational to why I believe it is a good approach.
