Ok so GP NOW GOING AI in that all clinics are now ‘attended’ by filling in online questionnaire. This week and co incidentally following RTA I received 3 requests ti fill out these questionnaires all the same for diabetics clinic hypertension clinic and long term health issues s clinic.

upon checking my records online with NHS App something caught my eye and has me concerned and confused. In answer to all 3 questionnaires it state’s ‘Alcohol abuse disorder requires investigation’

I do no partake of any kind of alcohol as both of my parents were alcoholics from as early as I can remember and I am 77 now Could they be saying that this has affected my health all my life X but if not what on earth is it all about do they think I have lied on all my forms?

Has the AI picked up that your mother drank alcohol in pregnancy and then assumed you have been affected by it? Then instead of referring to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder which can occur as a result of pre natal alcohol exposure, recorded it as Alcohol Abuse Disorder which is totally different. It’s unlikely that FASD would have been considered 77 years ago but you need to contact your GP and find out what’s happened. If you need more info about FASD check out the the National FASD website or come back to me. My grandson has FASD.
