Hi i have only recently found out what FASD is. I had to have surgery twice in my head over the years and got told by the surgeon last time that it was down to my birth mother. I am now awaiting more surgery but in my noise this time. I was adopted at four years old and recently found out lots of information from released social services and NSPCC reports. I have also got all the reports from the after adoption board. Then after all this my blood sister got tracked down and i found out lots more information regarding the birth parents. They were both very bad alcoholics and lost baby twins a week after each other. I have not been to see my GP about this yet because i am still trying to get to grips with it all. Can anyone recommend anywhere in Manchester that i could go to to discuss this further please. I am quite worried.

Lots of Fasd closed groups on Facebook put this on one of those and you’ll get lots of info x
Have a look at After Adoption, they have an office in Manchester and are able to support people who have been adopted. afteradoption.org.uk/i-am-t...
I cgot most of my information from Facebook site child'svoice
My son has FASD, I would recommend for you to probably go first to your GP. Tell them what has come out of your operations and what has been found out. Ask to be referred to someone who deals with FASD, or deals with neurological problems. There aren't many professionals at the moment who know about FASD which is why you need to be referred to someone who does know. I don't know who else you could get in touch with in Manchester either.
Hope you get your help also check online for groups about FASD cos there may be one near you.
Thanks for that. I will do.
