Brain function improvements with gut bacteria

"A new study finds an association between the composition of microorganisms that inhabit the gut and cognitive health.

As one of the first studies to use data from a large sample of community-dwelling participants, it contributes to a growing body of research into the link between the gut microbiome and the brain.

Further work is needed, but the hope is that gut microorganisms could be a target for preventing or treating cognitive decline in later life."
