Hello to everyone. I’m new to this but I’m really hoping that being part of this community will help our struggle with Encephalitis. It will be a year next month that dear hubby presented with partial seizures, then memory loss, then an abundance of strange behaviours..

I’m definitely hoping this is going to help. I guess Encephalitis has hit us all in very different ways. It’s going to be good to know we’re not the only ones. My experiences and frustrations will be very different to my husbands, and to everyone else, but it’s going to be so good to know we are not alone. I hope we all benefit from this experience!!

Hi Ilovecornwall4ever, your hubby sounds pretty similar to how I used to be many years ago when I had grand mal seizures and I did have quite a few strange behaviours that used to embarrass my family but its been a good 15 years now since I did anything like that. I had to keepp on practicing learning from my big mistakes because sometimes I did things without thinking first, or say the wrong thing unintentionally so since then I always fear that I may say something I shouldnt by accident and it has happened before but not for a while now. I keep battling on as usual and just kept in getting better even though theres still room for further improvements given time. In my eyes Encephalitis certainly can get better with time and it does!! believe me.😊 if anyone states otherwise I just try and stay as optimistic as I can and not let it beat me. I hope this helps you and others.
