Seeking Advice for Long-term Dyshidrotic Eczema Turned Dry and Cracked

Hello everyone,

I’m looking for some advice or personal experiences that might help me manage my eczema. A few years ago, I developed dyshidrotic eczema on my hands. At one point, the blisters broke open, and I accidentally got some dirt on them while moving things. Since then, my eczema seems to have shifted from the blisters to a more dry and cracked form.

Now, both my hands are affected symmetrically, with dry, cracked skin that periodically peels. Sometimes, the cracks are so deep that they reveal the flesh underneath, which can be quite painful.

I’ve tried various creams and ointments, but nothing seems to provide long-lasting relief. I’m especially concerned about the cyclical nature of the peeling and the painful cracks that follow.

Has anyone experienced something similar? What treatments, remedies, or lifestyle changes have worked for you? I’m open to any suggestions, whether it’s skincare routines, dietary changes, or any other advice that could help manage or reduce the symptoms.

Thank you in advance for your help!
