Anyone else fed up with all the adverts for booze this Christmas?

Half the trick is to stop thinking about it, and then it’s back in your face.

Yup. Cigarette ads aren’t allowed to be advertised on tv and now there are warnings that tobacco use is in a movie and I can’t remember the last time I saw ads in a magazine for tobacco or on a billboard. Alcohol should have the same restrictions and warnings. Alcohol in those merry holiday ads are dangerous triggers. When I see the ads I tell myself the alcohol is poison, turn the channel or leave the room. So much hype about alcohol during the holidays. “Come and drink, but be safe about it.”Yeah, right.

Hello I find I have been having more alternatives lately like chocolate and I think they shouldn't have them big tins in our faces as we walk in supermarkets cheaper to buy 3 my mam.bouggt some there in dishes in her house which she's had to move as temptation too much she had her first heart attack just after Xmas 7 years ago and last one 3 years ago on Xmas day due to cholestrol blocks in her heart. Christmas is a money making racket for the shops who have no consideration, I wish you and anyone reading a peaceful and healthy Christmas 🌟

We can’t control everything a human does if we feel it’s not good for them or others. I understand what you mean about all those tempting beautiful displays. They’re really concentrated around the checkout, too. You have to look at all the candy and what nots while you’re waiting. Clever marketing ploy. If you’ve ever noticed when you’re walking through the aisles that the more expensive items are on the shelves at eye level and the less expensive products are on the top or bottom shelves. Lol Retailers have figured out how to squeeze every last penny out of a consumer. It’s a science.

But I have to add, if you see a candy ad on tv or candy in a movie and it’s a blizzard outside, most people don’t risk their safety by running out and getting some. That’s the difference between the temptation of alcohol and candy. Candy has its downside, but we can hardly compare it to the danger that alcohol can present. 🦌🎅🏻🎄

My view of Christmas is that it is used as a licence to hide behind for selfish behaviour!

Here we are doing a fridge and pantry challenge where we are using up what we have in the fridge and pantry and today for lunch had baked beans on toast and tinned peaches with evaporated milk.

How are you and Prince Pixie?

Baby is well and looking forward to her Christmas treats!
