Hi, can anyone who does HHD tell me what equipment they were provided with by their hospital to start dialysis at home.

I was thinking along the lines of dialysis chair, table, flooring, etc. In fact, all the stuff the need and use in the hospital renal units. Thanks for any information.

Hi Sparky,

I was provided with a reclining chair, adjustable table, lamp, 4 drawer unit for storage and was offered flooring if necessary. Not sure what others might have though.

hi cookiemoot, thanks for the response, seems like your health authority provided all you needed for HHD. I was wondering what health authority you come under?

In Lancashire we have had our floor changed, and machine and recline chair provided.

We have purchased a laptop table and a wheelie drawer unit for needles etc and use and old wardrobe for the big stuff

We got flooring, emergency cut of light, reading light, please bear in mind the extra cost it will be for your utilities.
