Does anyone else have pain in every joint of their body? Walking down stairs and upstairs is becoming increasingly difficult.

Check with your nephrologist and your primary care practitioner.

Ues, it's going to be a few more days before I see the primary care doctor.

I've been on in-center hemodialysis for about 5 months now and I also have all over my body, especially on dialysis days. Not just joints, but I also feel it in my muscles. The pain is so bad all I want to do is curl up in bed, but no amount of rest helps it. I also have trouble going up and down stairs because those motions really activate the pain centers. The staff at my dialysis center have been unable to verify whether this is normal or not and it's getting frustrating. It might be that I'm gaining too much fluid weight before each session and the added stress of taking off so much fluid is more stressful on my body, but no one can confirm that this is definitely the reason. I'm considering switching to PD because doing this everyday will minimize the toxin buildup and fluid buildup in my body between sessions but I'm hesitant to switch until I know what the cause of this pain is. Very frustrating...

Yeah that sounds about the same as me. I've just figured out (myself) that I have psoriatic arthritis. I will confirm this at the Dermatologist when I go next week. It also could be an osteoporosis arthritis, which wouldn't surprise me. Try Tylnol arthritis. It's over the counter. Do not gain more than 2kg between sessions and 3kg on your weekend. I've been on dialysis 5 years. ANCA Negative Vasculitis Is what caused my kidney failure. Doctors at John Hopkins said my body will reject a kidney transplant because my antibodies are too high. I just pray and trust God because that is what I can do. Let me know how the Tylnol works. If you can do PD. That would be best. I'm on hemodialysis.

I was just recently put on Venlafaxine. It's really helped with that achy, fatigued, deep muscle tiredness. It also doubles as my Fluoxetine replacement. I hope all is well. I know this was posted months ago.
