Bike riding, walking
How many times a day do you do both walking and bike riding?😀👍
I walk everyday, ride a bike 2 Miles 2/4 days a week !!
That’s wonderful! Do you ride your bike before meals or wait until after eating? Do you walk in bad weather days? 😀👍
I have to walk or ride the bike before I eat … if I eat first .. I am sluggish walking or riding !!
What are your blood sugars before walking/riding your bike?😀👍
Wow .. to be honest with you .. I have never checked !! But I will now !! 🤔
I use stationary bike infront of TV and do cycling 50 to 60 times. Evening walking around my balcony watching children play around my apartment.
Walking with a coat on! There are walkways in the area where I live. Old trees give some protection from rain, when the rain is heavy I can still walk. As my daily walk is only 40 minutes I can do this whatever condition outside.
Lately I find walking is a problem for me, getting out of breath.
Getting doctor appointments are a problem in the UK because I have to fill an e-consult form online to get a telephone appointment first, this can take up to three weeks or more.
Blood testing is a problem at the moment in UK, this is because of pre-made up test tubes for blood collection are in short supply!!!
Corona virus has created other problems.
You could get advice from a walk-in centre or your local pharmacy. I hear what you are saying with the GP's. I live in Bristol. There is also 111 if things get too bad for you.
Do you have a home testing kit/monitor for daily/weekly testing away from a doctor's office?
It's good you can walk in all types of weather, sandybrown . When we have rainy weather, it's not as easy to be done out here. For the last few days, the rain has been extremely heavy and some thunder/lightning has been coming at different times of day/evening. This makes it so you have to do a lot of the walking inside mostly.
Climb steps up and down. There are 50 steps in our apartment and I climb the same 5 to 6 times at a stretch.
I am embarrassed to say that I do not exercise, apart from a small amount of physiotherapy. I have fibromyalgia and am in constant pain. What about you Leah?
Hi Martin,
I mostly do exercise/walking indoors depending on the weather and how many people are outside/around at the time. If it's bad weather, I stay inside and walk up and down the steps and/or use a stationary bike/hand weights and/or run in place to keep my legs/feet from cramping up all day.
Some great suggestions there Leah, I will let you know how it goes.
