I did not get fever.....I proactively took paracetamol....But yes, I had shoulder pain for 2-3 days .....not unbearable though !🙂

No side effects only light fever was on 2nd day please. I had taken tab dola 650 then it was alright.

Dolo 650 which has paracetamol is a wonder drug for both fever & pain which is normally prescribed by all doctors. In fact, in the vaccination center itself, paracetamol was being distributed freely after vaccination.

No fever and no side effects except pain for two days near injection site

NO side effects

Hi namaha this is a great poll idea, I’ve had both of mine now, I had a slightly sore arm and my leg muscles ached a little with a mild headache the following day.

In my opinion we have to get the vaccine program rolled out across the world to give everyone as much protection as possible. As I know that the mild side effects of the vaccine are nothing compared to catching COVID.

I’m very saddened for you our friends in India and other countries that seem to be overwhelmed by COVID we’ve all felt the same but the vaccines do work. 🌎🙏

Thanks Jerry.... Side effects if any seem to be mild and for most people there is no side effects! Risk coverage is much more important than the minor inconvenience we have due to vaccination.

Yes, we are passing through a bad phase of covid19 pandemic... We have a huge population of 1400 million to handle and thanks to many western countries who supported india at this point of time.

Hi namaha ,

I had gotten the Moderna vaccine and both doses. I had some soreness in the right arm where they gave the vaccine and was a little tired during the day for the week both times. Not too much else was of concern, but I was very careful when doing my insulin doses because I didn't want both the vaccine and insulin having the blood sugars go up and down too much both times.

Great job with the poll! :-)

Great ! 👍Now please be rest assured, covid will never dare to touch you.

Moderna is supposed to be one of the best vaccine

🙏😀

Hi namaha ,

Thank you for that about the vaccine. It's worth being tired for a few days if it helps in the long run for the future. :-)

I had my first jab on 09032021, without any side effects. Unfortunately, before we could get a second dose all three of my family got positive and we are still in isolation. Do you advise us to go for a second dose after isolation is over? Some people say that once you are positive and recovered, the body would have developed sufficient immunity.

Dear Ramana You are not alone !

Don't worry, you are one among millions.....as you have already taken a dose, the symptoms are supposed to be mild only .....

With covid infection, you will get enough anti-bodies...

However, you should consult a medical professional, , , when 2nd dose to be taken.

Take care, stay safe and follow the Covid19 guidelines !

We pray God that You would come out of it very soon 🙏

Hi ramana42 ,

Which brand did you have for the vaccine? Depending on the one you used/got, you may have to get the second dose. I had both Moderna doses and got them a month a part from each other. The one for Johnson's and Johnson's has just one dose and then you will be okay. If you got the others, please call the doctor or Pharmacy's Nurse of where you got it and let them know what you said about the family getting COVID before you could get the second dose. Not getting the vaccine is dangerous with Pre-existing conditions. Stay safe, happy and healthy! :-)

All of us in the family had 'Covishield' vaccine which is the most commonly used vaccine in India. Anyway, I and my son got away rather mildly, but my wife had to go through serious treatment, but fortunately, she is out of it now. I can say, all ends well when it ends well. Thank you.

I'm glad everyone is doing better now and the treatment your wife is getting is working. What medication did the doctors give her for COVID?😀👍🌈

ramana42 profile image
ramana42Volunteer in reply toActivity2004

Actually, we have no access to her for about two weeks. The hospital is a reputed one, but they do not disclose the details of treatment until after the patient is discharged. But all hospitals here are reportedly following the same SOPs suggested by Indian Medical Association. We are only happy that she is coming home healthy to be under the care of my daughter in law who is too good in these matters. My wife will be in isolation for some more time with support from a trained nurse.👍👍

This sounds good about your wife coming home from the hospital soon and then do more isolation with nursing help. :-) I hope she feels better and the recovery is a speedy one. :-)

I had the Pfizer vaccine both times. First time I had 3 days of aches/pains in my arms and legs. 2nd vaccine, I experienced nasty inflammation in the injection site down to my elbow which lasted for 6 days and then calmed down.

namaha profile image
namahaAdministrator in reply toglo42

Was the inflammation at the site due to any infection or it could be due to untrained nurses who are very fast in vaccinating without due care ! Hope you are doing fine now .

Take care !

glo42 profile image
glo42 in reply tonamaha

Namaha, there was no infection and I put the nasty reaction down to the nurse who gave me the injection. It hurt a lot at the time and I had a lump at the injection site that lasted for 6 days along with the daily increasing inflammation. A small price to pay to be protected against Covid -19 and I'm fine now. Thank you for asking.

I had mild body pains in legs and arms for about three hours. But I was alright after taking paraacetamol tablet.

AS I am in UK , I had both vaccine 12 weeks a part. The second vaccine was on 14th April.

First vaccine no issues, second vaccine slight pain in my arm for one week. Go for monthly Covid test to a pop up testing centre near a super market.
