This sounds really good. I had a big salad and a Greek yogurt on the side for dinner tonight. πŸ˜€πŸ‘πŸŒˆ

Can you please let me know what red mooli is? I never had it before, personally.πŸ˜€πŸ‘πŸŒˆ

I mean redish.

Since most of them not available and are very expensive with the pension I get from government. I take fruits like Guava papaya etc

In UK, we can get most of Asian veg. There are two I use a lot, " In India, Ponnanganni is known as the β€œgolden plant.”" and Vallari, green leaves. today I read leeks are also good. I use leeks as well.

Do you put the leeks mixed in for a salad/main meal or do you eat them on the side? :-)

We cook leeks in butter with salt and pepper, have it with other veg with roast chicken or oven cooked fresh fish. Cooked as a veg curry to have it with rice with other curries.

That sounds nice to have with fish and mixed in for curries. Do you have the leeks and curry once a week? :-)

AS it is cheaper to but pre packed, we have it two or three times in small quantities.

In today's Mail on line.

"The latest weapon against aches and pain? Leeks..."

dailymail.co.uk/health/arti...

"Another step is a diet rich in prebiotics, found in onions, garlic and leeks, which are converted by the β€˜good’ bacteria in the gut into anti-inflammatory chemicals"

Thank you for the information and link. It was very interesting.:-)

It's good to have small quantities of certain things two to three times a week. It's one way to use things up and cook different types of meals. :-) We do this sometimes, too.
