With the COVID 19 and lockdown, do you have enough supplies for Diabetes Care? What are they?

I keep stock of 6 months to 1 year for all my medicines & supplements. I don't use insulin or test strips now, I just get HbA1c done every 3 months. For me , though I have glucometer, I used it for about 5 years but checking sugar daily is not that useful after you know the trend as food habits remain same & test strips are very expensive

A pack of glucose will be handy,in case hypo occurs due to reduced physical activity caused by the lock down.

Others is medicines ?

Normally medicine stock is kept for a month or so since the type of medicines , dosage keeps changing... But CDC rightly had advised to keep stock for 3 months going by the china experience which is yet to come back to normal... They now say imported cases are on increase.... And diabetic is a complex phenomenon.... All of a sudden requirement of a new medication arises...

Sir My diabetic doctor allowed and advised me to buy all prescribed medicines from his own medical shop. I brought it. Probably no issues for six months

Doctor's medical shop, "Was it expensive?", what about expiry date of medication?

Can you do this from now on to save money and time?

All are expired dates 2021 march

I keep stock for 3 months, in the form of tablets and test strips. I don't use insulin.

When do you need more strips? When are you scheduled for an appointment with the doctor?

I use 4 times a day. I see the doctor 👨‍⚕️ average after 2 months on regular basis.

Do you have enough to get through the rest of the month before you have your next appointment?

Yes!

Basically doctor doesn't give the medicines, it is automatically prescription system here in UK 🇬🇧. Dr . Just discuss or change the medicines or decrease or increase it.

That's good to know. I have to go to the doctor's next month and get a few prescriptions written/updated when the time comes.
