Which diabetes self help books have you found most helpful?
As a matter of fact,I have not studied any of the above books.I always depended on ,initially press reports and health supplements published by magazines like Reader' Digest etc.Later on,I switched over to to the internet, particularly HU,WebMd,Healthline,ADA,ACP,Harward etc.I also attended several conferences on diabetes wherein many eminent doctors used to share their advise. So,my vote is for Others,if any.Thank you,and have a great day.
Thank you, ramana42 for letting us know. Which lectures have you been to?
It was sometime back. One was at Mmbai conducted by Bombay Medical College and two at Bangalore conducted by local associations. Once I also attended a lecture session presided by a leading physician ,a diabetes specialist. After I got into HU,Idid not attend any session. But I must also confess,I delisted myself from HU because at that stage the discussions turned rather acrimonious regarding LCHF diet.In fact many people left the forum for the same reason. Some of them were practicing professionals too.The contention was ,since LCHF was not recommended by ADA,it should not be propagated and.some felt ADA or not, that was the best solution, citing the example of Dr.Bernstein.Now,people have reconciled to the fact that diabetes management is something that is best left to the concerned individual, which was also my point of view. So,that was the story.
All are very good choices!
