If you go on thinking only about Blood Sugar all the time it will be difficult to live.
It is nothing but a game of diet and if one keep a control on it,Blood Sugar will not bother
you at all.
My Blood sugar is well within control and, I consult a specialist ,once in 3 months
and show him the reading Chart which I make.Medicines ,exercise,Yoga I do
regularly. In fact Sugar has taught me as to how to live and enjoy your life .
When you say within control, what are then BS Numbers and HbA1c? I read that anytime, your blood sugar goes beyond 140, your cells start deteriorating.
Most ou us check only the FS, some people once in a while, or during visit to hospital check PPBS. Very few check 12 hr after dinner or lunch.
It is very critical to have the BS and HbA1C within 140 and 5.6 so that your health is not affected in long run.
It is your health, not anybody else', not even the doctors' .
Wish you good health. It is your wealth, especially at old age. Take acre.
I have started treatment and consultation once fasting Sugar was detected around 134 2years back.
HBA1c was 7 at that time but has come down to 5.6,6.1 and recently 6 only. i go for Random checking, before and after lunch,Dinner and Breakfast but it has not yet crossed 130 except once or twice during Mango season.
I feel you have to change your life style also and start devoting atleast 100 minutes everyday religiously on walk, exercise and yoga.
Yes it is nessesury to change dietary pattern for control better blood sugar
I work hard to follow a diet and exercise regime. Within 2014 I have managed, WITHOUT DRUGS, to being down average sugar from 285 to 126 (HbA1C now 6.0% from 11.6%).
I am a diabetic for the past 30 years, due to diet and exercise I am no having any other complications like BP, Kidney, Eye sight etc.,
I am trying to follow the LCHF plan
plan - consume less rice, meat, spice, oil food, stay veg and eat four to five times daily, avoid junk and bakery food, reduced alcohol, wlak for 30 mts early morn daily, take a spoon ful of paneer ka phool extract, also take daily zoryl m 1 before breakfast daily
I request to mention a veg/non veg plan covering south indian breakfast/lunch/dinner so that the individual can choose as per his requirement.
I am following LCHF diet plan (recently started about a month ago) and also supplementing with some reduced BS control drugs for now.
I am also taking some Homeo and Ayurvedic medicines, just to be on the safe side.
Once I get comfortable, I will try to reduce the medications to 0 %.
I am confident that LCHF will work.
However, I am trying to ascertain how the shortfall / deficiency in our system (by following LCHF) would impact our life going forward and how to cope up or over come that.
Your valuable inputs would be greatly appreciated.
Good Luck to all.

My blood sugar is 165 in fasting and 237 afternoon. Pl advice
In my case, i have great difficult to follow the diet given by dietitian. Unfortunately till past 2 years everything was under control. Unfortunately while checking during my heart treatment before 2 years it was found the Hb was 19 and serum glucose around 181. Dr. concerned was a bit upset and said first the Hb should be brought within the range for which I had to take out approximately 700ml of blood. Which was done and a bit relief was seen. But every 3 months when I do my HA1bc test it remains above normal and therefore have to withdraw 375ml to bring Hb within 15 range. Thus, weakness, fatigue etc... etc... and to catch up with this diet has to be changed to keep myself under control for heart related issues. Any suggestions given will be accepted provided I consult my physician. Due to medications, I suffer greatly from stomach bloating as well as constipation too.
