Ancel Keys would have a lot to live down if he was alive to do so. The policy was voted in by George McGovern who, unfortunately, came from a crop farming state rather than a beef one.  Then it spread like a bad infection.  Like a bad infection it has been killing off its victims ever since!

John Yudkin recognised that the real culprit was sugar teethforlife.co.za/images/P... but was ridiculed by Ancel Keys. What a pity he didn't survive to see himself vindicated.

I have Yudkin's book. Previously to it being republished it was only available as as an original print run - $125. Now available on Amazon (and it wouldn't have been re-printed unless the resurgence in interest of his work would sell). I would urge anybody here who espouses Ancel Keys and would like to read the counterpoint buy the book - it might just save your life!
