Weight loss, low sodium diet, low dose aspirin if you're not allergic, aerobic exercise 5x a week, avoid carbs--especially processed ones

Hi, Chet. I don’t think there is any immediate cure for hypertension without any medications. You can reduce it to some extent by proper diet and aerobic exercise. But I think you will have to take medication if your blood pressure level is too high. I have experienced this problem when I was undergoing a Tummy tuck procedure in McLean Clinic, Toronto. I had to maintain a normal blood pressure and sugar level before undergoing the surgery. I tried many things but could reduce it only to some extent. I had to depend on medications.

Would suggest balanced diet. Lose weight if overweight(easier said than done!)

My gp says drink over two litres water per day.(did work but used to get so bloated)

Use destressing techniques.
