i am a type 2 diabetic, my sugar level is 160 fasting. i am on oral medication. i need to reduce my sugar level . How ?

Been my question for 34 years. So do as I say not as I do. Excercise, eat correctly (4 small meals a day) and loose some weight. The answers are there but I stll don't have the will unless I see death at my door and maybe then it is too late.
