Had a lot of dental work done last year and kind of still going through recovery. I had two extracts, three temp bridges one perm bridge that was fitted in July, four composite fillings, cap then ended up with a root filling through the cap.

My bridge is so uncomfortable still unable to eat properly and have to make sure food is soft - unable to eat meat/pork and chicken has to be leg only as it tends to be for want of a better word fattier - breast tends to be dry.

My top teeth are cutting into my bottom lip so my lip is constantly sore my lipstick now always seems to end on my teeth, the right side of my teeth both up and down feel they are too close together so there is pressure - something needs to be trimmed off to make closure better and lose the pressure on the teeth. My bottom teeth hit the back/bridge of my upper teeth so stops me eating . I now have a lisp which I never had before

Despite going back and telling my dentist I feel he fobs me off - the bridge is made exactly to the impressions taken he tells me - yes but my mouth has changed over that time and even an impression cannot define 100% what is actually happening now inside my mouth. Then I get remember it is a prosthetic in your mouth it won't ever feel like it was before. I also feel my mouth has dropped like I have lost bone or structure. The cap even after a root canal still can get toothache - said may need another one get more root out - no way this procedures was traumatic for me.

I would have preferred four implants across the front teeth but he said due to my deep bite was not possible and even then would still have a partial bridge and a denture for six month - the bridge with implants was new to me as never mentioned before.

My question is can I go to another private dentist and pay for a consultation and get another opinion.

This dental work cost me nearly £10000 - take me back to March last year and had I known the pain and suffering I don't think I would have gone ahead. I mentioned flexible dentures but again said no because of my deep bite.

Any thoughts be grateful
