Has anyone got one of these cards, and where did you get it, UK patients

Hi

Yes I have one of these and keep it in my purse.

I was given mine by my consultant Kay Thomas when I had a check up with her at Guys hospital.

If you are not being cared for at Guys to ask for one there, I wonder if your hospital would supply them also.

They are a great idea as local hospitals and doctors have not always heard of the condition.

Hi thank you, we are in North Yorkshire so I’ll ask our local hospital next time we have an appointment, I have Autisim too so sometimes gets a little difficult

Yes I have that card and I get it first time when I see my urologist in Gay hospital

Yes i have one, Guys hospital gave me mine, keep it in my purse.

Hi I don’t have one of these cards and never knew they existed. Would be better if the NHS issued this for individual consultants to fill in. With about only 75 patients with cystinuria in the Bristol area a big expense for the hosp for that number. But would be very helpful to us as patients as this is not a common disease and the knowledge in the smaller hospitals isn’t there as I have discovered over 66 years.
