Does anyone know anything about the prospects for Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) as an effective treatment for PD?

In the US it is only approved to treat depression, but in Canada it is used for PD. I spoke t an org that offers the treatment in Florida, but it very expensive and lengthy.

Here in Colorado, I know there's a movement disorder specialist, Benzi Kluger, doing research on it for different aspects of Parkinson's. Maybe you can go to the Michael J Fox Trail Finder and see if someone's doing a research trial in your area. I think it's not FDA approved yet because the evidence is inconclusive. By going to a trial, it would be followed by a movement disorder specialist and there would be no cost involved (assuming you were getting the active treatment). See if you can find a trial that offers to place controls into active treatment after the study is over. And of course, you would be helping to advance the science behind this approach
