Mother's Milk
Hello Jerbet,
Thanks for sharing this information! I know that with the use of foriegn stem cells immuno suppressive meds must be taken. I wonder if, at least for women who would no longer produce their own mild if they could give hormones to cause lactation and then be able to use your own stem cells for the PD?
I breast feed my children and produced so much that I would pump and freeze the milk for later use. This would take remove all ethical questions!
Hi Susie, I wondered that as well. When I breastfed my children I produced enough milk for 4 babies.
I considered continuing pumping, one of the areas I monitored was the NICU of the hospital where I worked. I just felt those babies needed all the help they could get, but there was a lot of read tape to go through.
My former sister-in-law had her second child about the same time that I weaned my son. I offered to continue pumping for her child because she was not going to breast feed and she thought that was too strange. I firmly believe that breast milk is the best thing for babies. My son was never sick until after I stopped breast feeding him. My former neice and nephew have asthma, skin problems and a load of allergies!
