Has anyone tried an Octaspring mattress - memory foam springs covered with a thin layer of memory foam? I'm desperate to find a comfy bed.

I bought a tempurpedic. It was comfortable but hard to get out of and hard to roll over in. So I went back to a regular bed with a 5 inch featherbed. The featherbed solved my pressure issues and I can get out of bed and turn over easily. The tempurpedic now resides in my guest room. Featherbeds are about$125.00 for a good one and go on top of your existing mattress.:-)

Thank you. I have tried a mattress topper though not as thick as yours. Unfortunately I am allergic to feathers but I will look at thicker synthetic ones.

Thanks

No, but I'd love to find a bed I could get out of with even a little ease. I've tired several mattressses, bed rails, ect. I hate going to bed because of that especially since I get up 2 to 4 times per night to visit the bathroom. Grrrrrrrrrr. :-( :-(

Hugs, Terri

I put 2 of the 1 1/2 " memory foam pads on my bed and I love it. I sleep on my side and mattresses hurt my hips but this has solved the problem for me.

Hope that helps.

I bought a 2" gel foam mattress pad. I loved it but hubby says it made it harder for him to move . It helped the pressure points but limits his ability to roll over. We tried a tempurpedic in the store. I had trouble rolling over (plus it was too hot) and he needed help to get off the mattress. The MDS recently changed his sinemet to 2 at night to aid mobility. I may try the pad again and see what he says.

Yes I have tried memory foam and it would certainly be too hot for my husband and I struggle on a flat mattress let alone trying to move after sinking into memory foam. I'm off shopping for a new bed/mattress. I will post any succeses!

Thank you

I've got one, and I love it. I wasn't sure whether to go for it but was swayed some of the things people were saying on the youtube and facebook sites about it. It's really comfortable and, though it's memory foam, it's not too hot, cos there's so much air flow. I do get more sleep as a result and I do feel less stiff in the mornings.... so it's certainly helped me a lot.

Good luck in your search!

Thanks Rwal

I dragged my husband off to the bed shop and we spent ages trying different types of mattress. The octaspring 6500 or Mistral as it is known in Dreams was the most confortable and I am now counting the days till it is delivered. We have 40 days to decide whether we like it too.

I'll post my findings!
